On a cold, crisp December day we made our way down to the Christmas market to sample some food and delight in the festive joys. Here are some photographs of this little excursion.
We made our way from the flat, across the Royal Mile towards the Christmas market.
Crossing over to Newtown we were presented with some lovely views of wintry Edinburgh.
At this point we could already see the Christmas market from afar, bustling with people and with interesting stands dotted around the relatively small space.
We stopped to buy some coffee (Choco-Vanilla) and admire some of the decorations being sold.
Then we could not resist any longer and it was time for some truly delicious and thankfully warm food.
After another quick wander round we were pretty much frozen and decided to stop off for some coffee and dessert to warm up a bit. Much to my delight my coffee came with a Christmas tree pattern, and Fraser’s gingerbread muffin came with a tiny gingerbread man on top.
Then it was time to go home to the light of a beautiful sunset reflecting off the Crags.
In summary, a great day at a truly lovely Christmas market.
